A report released by Arieso Ltd. on January 6th shines a spotlight on the most voracious users of mobile data today. The report, Recent Smartphone Trends & the Extreme Data User, concludes that “increasingly sophisticated devices are unleashing unprecedented levels of user demand.” The infographic above visualizes one of the major conclusions of the study: 50% of all mobile data is consumed by 1% of users. USB Modems are the hungriest of devices but Smartphones are next in line with the iPhone 4S devouring more uplink and downlink data than any other handset currently on the market today.
